Treatment options for patients with ALL are:
Chemotherapy (including CNS treatment)
Immunotherapy
Allogeneic stem cell transplant (ASCT)
The selection of treatment option suitable for the patient is based on a number of variables which will be assessed by the treating haematologist. In addition, it is essential to tailor the treatment to a patient’s fitness to reduce any treatment-related side effects and achieve the best clinical outcome.
Individual evaluation for each patient to determine their fitness based on performance status, comorbidities, and organ functions.
