Patientsā€™ prognoses are related to their risk of relapse which can be:

  • Low risk
  • Intermediate risk
  • High risk

Chromosomes/genes abnormalities of patients affect two thirds of their prognosis. The final third is determined by age, sex, physical fitness and clinical features .

  • Suitable treatments and intensity of treatment required
  • Appropriate consolidation therapy, including suitability for ASCT
