Afebrile/febrile: without/with fever
Anaemia: deficiency of erythrocytes or haemoglobin, which may cause tiredness, weakness and pallor
Hepatomegaly: abnormal enlargement of the liver
Hyperuricaemia: high serum levels of uric acid
Hypogammaglobulinaemia: deficiency of gamma globulins, including immunoglobulins (antibodies) resulting in immunodeficiency
Lymphadenopathy: abnormal enlargement of the lymph nodes
Megacolon: Abnormal dilation of the colon
Mucositis: inflammation of mucous membranes
Neutropenia: an abnormally low level of neutrophils (common white blood cells that are important in fighting infection)
Prophylaxis: treatment or action to prevent disease
Prothrombin time: an assay assessing the extrinsic and common pathways of coagulation
Splenomegaly: abnormal enlargement of the spleen
Thrombocytopenia: low platelet count
